According to the CDC, 35% of U.S. adults do not get the recommended 7 hours of sleep each day. Sometimes our lives can get so busy that we sacrifice a few hours of sleep to do things we want to get done. It is important however, to think about how our sleeping habits may affect our wellbeing. Sleep can affect our mood, attention, and many other physical health factors. The NIH has great information on how sleep affects our lives.
There are some things that we can do to improve the amount and quality of sleep we get. Some of the recommendations include: only using your bed to sleep, avoiding electronics before bedtime, avoid caffeine before bedtime and many others. Here are some more tips on how to get better sleep.
