Recap of Week 1:
We started the month thinking about our overall well-being with community wellness. We visited with some special guests, SLO CO Massage & Wellness Spa offering free massage, Mayor Heidi Harmon spoke about community engagement and we had a nice Community BBQ with ASI Representatives and local SLO City Council and Mayor Harmon in Santa Rosa Park.
Daily Challenges for Week 2:
This week is dedicated to physical wellness. Our physical health and wellness goes beyond just our physical fitness levels and includes things we can do proactively to prevent long term health risks like obesity, diabetes, cholesterol, and high blood pressure. Being aware of what we eat, our behaviors and our environment all contributes to our physical health and well-being. This month is Bike Month and this week Cal Poly Commuter Services is doing a special event for folks who Bike to Campus, don’t forget to wear your helmet and check out Bike SLO County’s booth at our Wednesday Wellness Fair for more safety tips.
This week, participants can win a free month membership to Rev SLO and participate in community yoga with Acro Yoga SLO at our Wednesday, Physical Wellness Fair, from 11:00am – 1:00pm on Mustang Way. Stop by the Rev SLO booth and fill out a raffle ticket for a chance to win. Yoga mats will be available, but we recommend bringing your own yoga mat if you have one.
