Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!

These three little actions: reduce, reuse, and recycle can make a powerful impact within your local community and the environment. By applying these three techniques into your daily routine, you are conserving energy and natural resources on a local, state, and national level. According to the EPA, reusing or reducing your waste also saves energy and money, reduces greenhouse emissions, as well as sustains the environment for future generations. Thankfully, you attend or work for a university that is striving to become a Zero Waste Campus! You can find recycling and composting containers all over Cal Poly’s campus and if you are curious on how to reuse or reduce your waste, there are is information available!

This week be mindful of how you are going to dispose of your plastic cup or water bottle, or your banana peel and search for that appropriate waste bin. Also, if you would like more information how you can reduce, reuse, and recycle on a daily basis, you can visit the EPA website. So remember, to reduce, reuse, and recycle Mustangs!
