What is Trauma Informed Care?

Today’s topic on cpwell features an amazing resource and local non-profit organization Transitions-Mental Health Assocciation.  Located at 748 High St. in San Luis Obispo, California Transitions-Mental Heatlh Association, also known as T-MHA offers “over 35 programs at locations throughout San Luis Obispo and North Santa Barbara counties” and is a champion in leading programs, initiatives for “eliminating stigma and promoting recovery and wellness for people with mental illness” on the central coast.

On Friday, January 20 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm, T-MHA will be hosting Journey of Hope.  This event is open to the community and is an opportunity to interact with mental health and community leaders, learn about local resources and, best of all to celebrate hope.

Journey of Hope is a community forum on living mentally well that takes place early in the year. The event offers an opportunity to interact with mental health and community leaders, learn about local resources and, best of all to celebrate hope. Save the Date for Gabriella Grant from the California Center of Excellence for Trauma Informed Care on Friday, January 20 from 6-8 p.m. in Pismo Beach.
