What is Wellbeing?

Wellbeing can be a very broad term. At Campus Wellbeing, we look at wellbeing like a growing, thriving, dynamic plant. If each seed is tended to, cared for and all the basic needs are met (sun, nutrient rich soil, water), then the seed can grow and thrive to become a source of life. Even if there are storms, droughts, floods or bumps along the way, a thriving plant will be able to endure little hurdles and continue to grow.img_5144

At Cal Poly, “student wellbeing is core to individual student success, which is why Student Affairs promotes a healthy, inclusive, and safe campus. Our holistic approach to wellbeing ensures that we create programs and services that help students thrive in their physical, emotional, social, community, career, and financial wellbeing.”

Each students’ individual success, means hundreds, thousands, millions of students will grow and thrive beyond their time at Cal Poly. However, our student success goes hand in hand with our faculty and staff success. If our whole campus is well, then we can achieve Campus Wellbeing.

As we embark on a new year, Campus Wellbeing is embracing an opportunity to enhance, collaborate and achieve Campus Wellbeing through research, community building and leadership.

Join us for the Campus Wellbeing Collaborative. This is an opportunity for students, staff and faculty to gather and discuss updates in research, programming and initiatives available to all members of Cal Poly.
